Grafton – Apple Tree Arts is seeking adults and teens 14 years and older to participate in open auditions for the community theatre production, “Little Shop of Horrors,” Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6-8:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1-4 p.m. Email Matt Mariner at [email protected] to schedule a time slot. Auditionees are asked to prepare a song from the show in advance, read from the script and learn a simple dance routine at the audition.

“’Little Shop of Horrors’ is a very popular, modern show that stages well for community theatre,” said Director Matt Mariner. “It’s upbeat and is well-liked by teens and adults.” Keri McCarthy joins him as music director with Noelle Scarlett as production and costume designer and co-choreographer. The show will be staged Feb. 8 and 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Great Hall, One Grafton Common.

Rehearsals begin Sunday, Nov. 4, and are twice a week, with small group drama rehearsals scheduled as needed. The majority of actors will need to attend rehearsals twice a week until one month prior to the performances. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled as needed.
