Officials say ‘no credibility’ to threatening note found at Westborough High School

Westborough High SchoolWestborough – Westborough High School was briefly evacuated Dec. 18 after a note was found, officials said, that claimed that a bomb had been brought into the school. According to Police Chief Alan Gordon the letter was found in a women’s bathroom.

“The school was searched but nothing was found,” he said.

“Additional security precautions were taken yesterday and today,” Marianne O’Connor, the district’s superintendent, noted. ”It was found that there was no credibility to the threatening statement.”

On Nov. 22 the Whitcomb Middle School in Marlborough faced a similar situation when what officials there called a “concerning note” was found. After students were evacuated, it was determined there was no risk and students were allowed back into their classes.
