Ethel A. Pratt, 87

Obit Ethel PrattNorthborough – Ethel A. (Balser) Pratt, 87, died peacefully Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Shrewsbury Nursing Home. Six brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She leaves her devoted husband of 63 years, Frank Pratt; two loving daughters, Linda Pratt of Westborough and Susan Jusseaume and her husband, David, of Northborough; two grandchildren, Nicole Palaima and Adam Jusseaume; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Arliss Gould of Farmington, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.

Ethel was born in Burlington, daughter of Frederick and Rebecca (Brewster) Balser. She lived in Northborough since 1971.

She worked at the former Braemore Nursing Home in Marlborough during the 1960s and Fiske's Nursery in Northborough during the late 1970s.

She loved gardening, hiking and many other outdoor activities.

A private funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 30 in Hays Funeral Home of Northborough, with burial to follow in Howard Street Cemetery. There are no public calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
