Westborough – Kevin Bock, a senior at Worcester Academy and member of Troop 382 in Westborough, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout Oct. 29.

Bock's Eagle project was replacing the benches at the Bowman Conservation Area which is used for many community and recreational activities, Boy Scout meetings, and campfires. Many hours were spent this fall with his fellow scouts and friends digging up the old and eroding benches, clearing and cleaning the area, and securing the new benches firmly into the ground.

Bock enjoyed many outdoor challenges with Troop 382, including the winter camping event each February known as Freeze Out, whitewater rafting, Camp Resolute, and numerous hikes in the New Hampshire Presidential Range. In addition to outdoor activities, he held many different leadership positions with the troop and participated in numerous community service activities.

At Worcester Academy, Bock is involved in the literary magazine LANCE, Mosaic multi-cultural club, and is a member of the crew team. He is the son of Neil and Amber Bock and brother of Sarah Bock.
