Shrewsbury narrowly defeats Westborough in girls” basketball

Westborough – The Westborough High School Rangers girls’ basketball team hosted the Shrewsbury High School Colonials Feb. 11.

The first quarter saw fairly even play, with Shrewsbury holding a slim lead, 8-6, at the end. ?In the second quarter, Westborough pulled ahead for a 19-14 lead at the half.

The third quarter was another evenly played game; the Rangers held a slim 27-26 lead at the end of the third. ?In the fourth quarter, the Colonials tied the game with less than two minutes remaining and held on to defeat Westborough 45-41.
