St. John’s to host New England high school powerlifting meet

Shrewsbury – On Sunday, March 9, Saint John’s High School will be the host of the fourth annual Ryan Moore New England High School Powerlifting Championship meet. This meet will bring together over 60 high school athletes, from all over New England and representing over 10 schools, to showcase their best attempts at the squat, bench press and deadlift. This meet will be the third high school meet of 2014 and close the high school winter powerlifting season.

The event is sanctioned by USA Powerlifting, an organization that promotes sportsmanship through drug-free competition at local, national and international levels.
