Westborough – Ross Merrow, 84, of Westborough, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 16, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Christiane Merrow.
Born in Portland, Maine, he was the son of Lawrence R. and Dorothy (Pinkerton) Merrow. During the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Army.
Ross earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology at Boston University and his law degree at Suffolk University School of Law at night and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1960.
He worked as a title examiner for Worcester County Abstract Co., and from 1971 to 2010 practiced general law in Northborough and Westborough.
Ross was a member of the Westborough Rotary Club and past president of Northborough Rotary Club.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by three sons, Mark Merrow of West Roxbury, Carl Merrow of Worcester, and Kirk Merrow of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Jean Stepanis and her sons, George, Larry, and David; and Kristin Terkelsen, all of Cape Cod.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m., in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 183 West Main St., Westborough. Following the service, there will be a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall. There are no calling hours. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery of Auburn, Maine, will be held at a later date.
