Bomb threat at Westborough High turns out to be false

Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this afternoon:

On 3/27/14, at approximately 10:25 AM, the Westborough Police Department responded to the Westborough High School on W. Main St. for a reported bomb threat.

It was reported that a student had found a threatening note in a men’s bathroom. The note alluded to a bomb in the building. The building was evacuated and the students were brought to the baseball field where buses were available to keep the students warm.

The building was searched by school staff, Westborough Police and Fire personnel and with assistance from the Grafton Police Department.

The students were allowed back into the building approximately an hour later. Another similar bomb threat was discovered in December. There is evidence that the two incidents may be connected. Detectives from the Westborough Police Department and the School Liaison Officer are investigating
