Shrewsbury Road Scholars 5K benefits schools

Sh EDITED WEB shrewsbury 5k schoolsShrewsbury – Over 300 participants of all ages start the seventh annual Shrewsbury Road Scholars 5K and One-Mile Fun Run held April 6, beginning and ending at Oak Middle School. Finishing first overall in 18:29 was Tom Cairns, a junior at Shrewsbury High School (SHS). The first-place female finishing in 21.54 was Erin Hickey of Auburn, a health teacher at SHS. The event's major sponsors were Avidia Bank and Dunkin” Donuts. Proceeds go to the Citizens Education Fund, which provides ongoing support to the town's public schools.
