Westborough – The Westborough Garden Club will award two $750 scholarships to this year's graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be Westborough residents interested in pursuing a college major in landscape architecture, botany, environmental science or a related field at a two- or four-year college.
Applicants should write a one-page letter to the Garden Club describing why they should be awarded this scholarship and include evidence of past and continuing accomplishments and interests such as club memberships, community service, participation in special projects and activities, and career goals. They should also include the area of study they wish to pursue and why and one letter of recommendation from a school faculty member or administrator.
Applicants should mail this information to the Westborough Garden Club, c/o Polly Thayer, 211 W. Main St., Westborough, MA 01581 or email it to [email protected]. Include name, address, email address, telephone number and high school. The deadline for all applications is Wednesday, April 30.
