Obit Louise ButlerShrewsbury – Louise M. Butler, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. She was 90.

Louise was born Aug. 8, 1923 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late James F. Butler Jr. and Mary L. (Keenan) Butler Clements. A graduate of Simmons College in Boston, she was an educator in the Newton Public School System for over 35 years.

A longtime resident of Needham, she moved to Shrewsbury in 2009. Retirement afforded her an opportunity to tutor students and continue her passion for reading.

Louise is predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy P. Kohler, Paul Butler, and Anne Meisner. She leaves her brother-in-law, Herbert M. Kohler of Shrewsbury, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Louise's life Saturday, April 12 in The Chapel of St. Sebastian School at St. Bartholomew Parish, 1191 Greendale Ave., Needham, where her Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 11 am in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. There are no calling hours.
