Obit Susan SpinelliWorcester – Susan (Marks) Spinelli, 67, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at New England Medical Center, Boston.

Born in Pittsburgh, Penn., she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Mary B. (Lamph) Marks. She was a graduate of Heidelberg High School, Heidelberg, Germany, class of 1965. A longtime member of St. Stephen Parish, Worcester, she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister.

She retired in 2011 from UMass Medical Center, Worcester, where she had been employed as a billing supervisor. She had previously been employed at the Dennison Manufacturing Co. Framingham for 25 years.

Susan was an avid Boston sports fan and devoted much of her time as a volunteer at Friendly House in Worcester.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph McCuine and his wife Jane of Northborough and Kelly Spinelli of Worcester; her daughter, Colleen McCuine of Philadelphia; her sisters, Stacey Clark and her husband David of Shrewsbury and Jane Korins and her husband Paul of Marblehead; her grandchildren, Madeline, Joseph Jr., Maeve, and Eloise; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 1, from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 2, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery on Route 140 in Shrewsbury.
