Shrewsbury- “Gunnar,” a service dog-in-training, and his trainer, Shrewsbury resident Amanda Sullivan, recently  participated in a pre-game ceremony at Fenway Park held April 23  to honor Sgt. Juan Valdez and his service dog, “Midas.”

Valdez is a combat veteran who was wounded in Iraq. The group also was given the honor of painting the pitchers’ mound and home plate for the game.
