“God Rocks” concert to benefit Families in Transition

church of the nativityNorthborough – Friends of Families in Transition (FIT), a nonprofit organization that helps displaced families in Northborough, Westborough and Marlborough, will hold a fundraising event Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the lawn of the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard St. Local Christian rock and praise bands will be performing a “God Rocks” concert with all proceeds going to help families.?A $5 contribution is requested for adults and children age 12 and older.

“FIT has an immediate need for support in order to help the children of these families enjoy their summer with dignity,” said Julie Stanwood, director of Friends of FIT. “Not only does FIT provide basic needs such as food, diapers, clothing and essentials, we also help create magical summer memories for the children.”
