St. Mary’s Credit Union to hold youth money management workshop

St. Mary's credit union rsMarlborough – St. Mary’s Credit Union announced that it will present a free community service workshop Saturday, June 14, to educate young people about managing personal finances. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the credit union’s branch office, 1 Northboro Road, Marlborough.  Everyone, including nonmembers of the credit union and parents are welcome to attend, but pre-registration is required.

The workshop will focus upon four areas, including checking accounts, savings accounts and electronic banking; loans, credit and collections; setting goals and budgeting; and planning for the future – job hunting to career tips.

Breakfast and lunch are included in the workshop, as well as prizes and giveaways throughout the day.
