Northborough – Shirley M. (Clifford) Kelley died peacefully in her sleep at home Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was 85. Her husband, William J. Kelley, died in 1990.
She leaves behind her children, David Kelley, Steven Kelley of Auburn, Andrea Parker of Ellsworth, Maine, Richard Kelley of Northborough, and Kevin Kelley of Woodstock, Conn.; her grandchildren, Amanda, Shealyn, David, Kevin, Danielle, Kacey, and Christy; her sister, Ardeth Tainter of Holden; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bud Clifford.
Born in Worcester, Shirley was a lifelong resident of Northborough. She was an avid Bruins, Red Sox, and NASCAR fan. She also loved crocheting and baking.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, June 12, from 5-8 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. The funeral will be held Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Shirley will be laid to rest beside Bill in Howard Street Cemetery, following her funeral.
