Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Special Needs Program will be sponsoring the Special 5K Road Race and One Mile Fun Run Saturday, June 21. The proceeds benefit the Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Special Needs Program which provides social events and year-round sports training opportunities.
The races will start and finish at Floral Street School, 57 Floral St. The fun run starts at 8:30 a.m.?and the 5K at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $20; $25 after June 17. The fun run is $5.
The first 100 runners will receive a free race t-shirt, sponsored by Sneak-a Rama, Fixed Prosthodontic Services LLC, and Get in Shape for Women. The course is wheel measured and timing is provided by Central Mass Striders. There will be a post-race raffle for all registered runners.
