Region – The Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation recently awarded three local elementary school PTOs a grant to go towards the needs of the schools and their students.
The Charitable Foundation presented the General John Nixon Elementary School PTO in Sudbury a $500 grant towards its Educational Enrichment Fund, which is responsible for putting together school-wide ad grade-specific programs that enhance and complement the classroom experience.
The foundation awarded a grant of $940 to the Jaworek Elementary School PTO in Marlborough, to be used to expand its Cultural Arts program.
The foundation also presented the Armstrong Elementary School Parent Group in Westborough with a $500 grant that will go towards student enrichment programs, including a CPR training and certification program.
“With budget shortfalls and increasing expenses, we understand the challenges our local schools face and are thrilled to be able to help,” commented Ellen W. Dorian, secretary of the Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation.
