Youth church group helps repair hurricane-damaged homes

Shrewsbury – On June 22, immediately after morning worship, First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury's Youth Mission Group headed out with 34 youth and adults to work in Atlantic City, N.J., to help repair homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy.?On the work site, they repaired homes that were hit with a storm surge of 2 to 10 feet. They put up walls, installed floors, put molding in place and did whatever else is needed. The group is part of “A Future with Hope” program organized by the People of the United Methodist Church.
