Letter to the editor: Praise for Shrewsbury’s Medlinskas

To the Editor:

I am writing in regards to the Mary 3 article about the young man, John Medlinskas. (“Loss is actually a win for Medlinskas”)and his bid for a seat on the Shrewsbury Housing Authority Board.  He is correct – he did not really lose. He did something many people won’t ever do. He will one day be a great leader, believing in something good and positive and not considering failure. We need more young people like him to step up with great values for the future.

I believe the Housing Authority needs some new fresh younger people, not all old. It seems that youth and elderly people can learn from each to move forward to a better place we all live in.

Some people look at elderly as old and not useful. They don’t know what we are around for but they forget that someday if they live right and lead productive lives they too may enjoy life to its fullest with faith and positivity and love. Where would we be with love for each other?
