McGovern meets with Shrewsbury seniors

Shrewsbury – U.S. Representative James McGovern, 2nd district, met with local seniors June 30 at the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

The open forum format allowed for the seniors present to talk with the congressman about the issues that matter most to them.

While the talk had a local theme, many seniors were also concerned about what's being done to protect the country's borders and how that pertains to Massachusetts. McGovern took the time to fully explain the issue and offer his opinion about what he felt should be done in the future.

The forum with McGovern was a part of the Seniors in Session program held weekly at the Shrewsbury Senior Center.
