Obit Susa St. PierreOrange – Susan J. (Morris) St. Pierre, 65, of Orange, formerly of Marlborough, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Charles St. Pierre of Orange, to whom she had been married for the past 47 years.

Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of Dolores (Fogerty) Morris Tavano of Marlborough and the late James D. Morris. She was also the stepdaughter of the late Nicholas Tavano.

Mrs. St. Pierre had been employed for 20 years at S&F Concrete in Hudson, retiring in 2006 as the executive assistant to the owner of the company.

Her family and friends knew her to be generous, kind and thoughtful, and always ready to care for others. She set the gold standard for entertaining, which she did often and with great pleasure.

She enjoyed old movies, crossword puzzles, and traveling, but the times spent with her granddaughters, Amelia and Chloe, gave her the most joy.

Besides her mother and her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Laura St. Pierre and her husband Tobin Ritt of Northampton; her brothers, Dr. Peter Morris and his wife Amber of Marlborough and Robert Morris and his wife Kim of Shrewsbury; her sister, Diane McCurley and her husband Tim of Marlborough; her granddaughters, Amelia and Chloe Ritt; her sisters-in-law, Susan Morris of Northborough and Rosalie (St. Pierre) Green of Marlborough, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Stephen “Moose” Morris, who died in 2013.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 10, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
