Nominations for “Spirit of Shrewsbury” grand marshal now being accepted

Shrewsbury – Nominations for grand marshal of the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival are now being accepted through Thursday, July 31. This year's festival will be held Sept. 26-28 at Oak Middle School, featuring returning favorites such as the town expo, craft fair and parade.?To nominate a resident, contact Maria Smith at 508-842-4436 or mmsreal@aol.com.

This year's corporate partners are Central One Federal Credit Union, Dunkin Donuts, Avidia Bank, Gymnastics Learning Center and Webster Five.?To become a sponsor or purchase a banners, contact Melissa Montana at 774-641-6362 or mmontana600@yahoo.com. Full sponsorship is $1,200 (deadline Friday, Aug. 1); banners are $400 for businesses or $250 for non-profits/families/memorials (deadline Friday, Aug. 15).

To register for the craft fair, contact Shilpa Deochakke at 978-937-9522 or sdeochakke@yahoo.com. Vendors must sell unique, handmade items and register by Mondauy, Sept. 15. Booths range from $45 to $90, with special rates for Shrewsbury residents.

To register for the town expo, contact Sabina Terrades at 508-845-5032 or sterrades@hotmail.com. Nonprofit organizations are free; businesses are $125. Non-refundable registration fee required.
