Advisory issued for Lake Quinsigamond

Shrewsbury/Worcester – The Department of Environmental Protection and the Shrewsbury Board of Health have issued an advisory for Lake Quinisigamond due to a waste water overflow near the Kenneth Burns Bridge.

No boating or swimming activities are advised until further notice. Officials advise that contact with water could cause illness.

  1. This has been going on for decades. We can build a new bridge, stock fish, but can’t stop sewage from going into a lake. Someone needs to be replaced.
