Shrewsbury: Regatta Players Theater Group presents “Godspell”

Shrewsbury – The Regatta Players Theater Group is proud to present its fourth annual summer production, “Godspell.” Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell focuses on a small community of people who explore different parables through an eclectic blend of songs and storytelling techniques. Set on a Cape Cod-esque beach, this production will bring a contemporary and sunny spin to this staple piece of American musical theater as it features a number of popular songs, including, “Day By Day,” “O Bless the Lord, ” “Turn Back, O Man,” and “All Good Gifts.”

 

Show times are Friday, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m., at the Flanagan Theatre of Southgate at Shrewsbury, 30 Julio Dr. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $12 for students and seniors.
