Southborough – The Southborough Recreation Department recently held an “Under the Sea” camp at the Mary E.? Finn School.
Kids aged 3 to 6 were able to participate in a variety of underwater-themed events. The week was highlighted with a visit from Biomes Marine Biology Center, located in North Kingston, R.I., which brought a number of small under the sea creatures for the kids to touch and feel as they learned about them.
The kids were especially interested in learning about horseshoe crabs and starfish. By allowing campers to physically feel the animals, they were able to get a truer sense of what these “under the sea” creatures are really like.
