Northborough: Assabet Valley Mastersingers to hold open rehearsals

Region – Assabet Valley Mastersingers will hold open rehearsals Monday, Aug. 25; Tuesday, Sept. 2; and Monday, Sept. 8, from 7:30-9:45 p.m., at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard St., Northborough.

Rehearsals will be held in preparation for a Sunday, Nov. 9 concert featuring Durufle's “Requiem Opus 9” and Gounod's “Messe Solennelle de Ste. Cecile.” New members are welcome. Regular practices are held Mondays from 7:30-9:45 p.m.

In the past three-and-a-half decades, the 75-member Assabet Valley Mastersingers chorus, directed by founder Dr. Robert P. Eaton, has gained a reputation for musical excellence and unusual programs. For those who enjoy a cappella singing in a small group there is the opportunity for participation in the Chambersingers, a community outreach ensemble.
