Westborough – The Rotary Club of Westborough recently welcomed its 2014 Westborough High School scholarship recipients to its weekly club meeting.

Giving back to the community is a strong club tradition and providing high school scholarships has been an area of focus for many years. To date, more than $250,000 has been provided to Westborough graduates, allowing them to further their educations with a little less financial burden.

This year's recipients of the $1,000 scholarships and the college they will be attending are:

Adelene Egan (Boston College); Elizabeth Simmons (New York University); Rachel Harris (Case Western Reserve); Emily Bigwood (Hamilton College); Tess Mitchell (Emmanuel College); Max Silverman (University of? Maryland, College Park); Kathryn O’Hara (Ithaca College); Janet Khoury (University of New Hampshire);? and Melissa Zhang (UCLA).
