Hudson: Auditions for “A Cabaret for Compassion” with the River's Edge Arts Alliance

Cabaret for CompassionHudson – Auditions for the River's Edge Arts Alliance “A Cabaret for Compassion” fundraiser will be held Thursday and Friday, Aug. 28 and 29, from 7-9:30 p.m., at Hudson Town Hall, 78 Main St. This night of special performances kicks off the arts alliance's Season of Compassion with songs to inspire featuring songs from Disney to Broadway. Auditions are by appointment only; call 978-562-1646 or email info@upwitharts.org to make an appointment.


A Cabaret for Compassion will be directed by Lynne Johnson with music direction by Maureen Bourgeois. Age range for the cabaret is 8 – 100. All auditionees should prepare a short piece (16 bars) which best shows off their voice with adults performing a Broadway piece and children performing songs from Disney movies and musicals. Please have the piece memorized and bring sheet music for the accompanist.


The Cabaret performance is Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough. Subsequent partial or full additional performances will take place throughout the fall and spring based on cast availability.
