Northborough – The Northborough Pickleball Players recently donated $50 to both the Friends of Northborough Seniors and the Friends of Northborough Recreation as a thank you for providing the equipment and space for the group to play.

In just three years, a small group of half a dozen players has grown to over 100 who now play the game locally.? It has become so popular in the region that the Mass. Senior Games Pickleball Tournament will be held at the Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club Saturday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug.24.? The tournament will feature over 100 athletes from age 50 to over 80+ playing in age- level competitions for Men's and Women's Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.? The event is open to the public, and runs from 9 a.m. to mid-afternoon each day.
