Framingham – Barbara C. (Bartosiewicz) Brady, 72, of Framingham, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Cecelia (Novak) Bartosiewicz of Avoca, Penn. and the late Theodore Bartosiewicz.
She had been employed for 19 years as the business manager at St. Matthias Church, Marlborough, and had been an active member of the parish community before retiring.
Prior to her illness, Barbara had spent much of her time caring for her mother. She enjoyed tending her garden, sewing, knitting, tennis, and bowling. She also loved animals, always having a dog in her home.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her sons, Christopher Brady and his wife Kimberly of Braintree and Andrew Brady of Westborough; her brothers, Theodore “Ted” Bartosiewicz and his wife Janie of Grand Prairie, Texas, Edward Bartosiewicz of Regalsville, Penn., Alan Bartosiewicz of Belleville, N.J., and Mark Bartosiewicz and his fiancée Debra Huff of Easton, Penn.; her sisters, Susan Bartosiewicz Accunzo of Belleville, N.J. and Dorothy Fichner and her husband Tony of Barnegat, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 52 Grove St., Framingham.
