Technology is “king”

082914 rsRegion- In simpler times, back-to-school shopping meant pens, pencils and a book bag. In today's technology-rich society, parents are faced with a variety of technology purchases just to keep their kids up to date. Current shopping lists will include laptops, tablets and a variety of wireless devices.

From the school administrator's standpoint, the challenges are to keep all these devices online and keep score of computers up and running. More and more schools are employing highly trained directors of technology…no longer worried about audiovisual equipment and projectors, today's tech directors have computer engineering backgrounds as well as backgrounds in education to ensure that they are helping their students best prepare for an ever-changing world where technology is king.
