Local church youth group transforms homes and themselves

Westborough – “At work camp, I learned how to love others and how to love myself, and I came home with a new relationship with God,” said Katey Allen, a member of the Congregational Church of Westborough. The teenager was one of the 32 teens and seven adults who participated in a recent church service trip to Guilderland, N.Y. Moved by the experience, she seems to have articulated the feelings of many who spent a week repairing homes for low-income households.

Officials “not opposed” to medical marijuana growing facility

Shrewsbury – After a discussion with the manager of a proposed medical marijuana facility the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen agreed to render a Letter of Non-opposition regarding the facility at the boards Aug. 26 meeting.

John Glowik, 44 Independence Lane, the manager of the proposed Haven Center, entertained selectmen's questions about how he would go about running a 41,000 square foot medical marijuana growing facility that would be located at 28 Bowditch Drive.
