Clinton – Yvonne Marie Collins Lynch, 68, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at her home in Clinton.
She was born June 2, 1946 in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Eugene and Aurore (L’Heureux) Mongeau. She spent much of her life in Marlborough, attended St. Anne Academy, and, more recently, was employed as a property manager and bookkeeper. She was previously married to Donald Lynch.
Yvonne was a hard worker, but strong willed and never complained when life took a difficult turn. She loved dancing and gardening and was most proud of being a “Mom.”
She leaves her three sons, Eugene Collins and his wife Vicki of Point Arena, Ca., Donald Lynch and his longtime girlfriend Courtney Slade of S. Hamilton, and Michael Lynch and his wife Sarah of Aspen, Co.; her three daughters, LeighAnn Mathis and her husband Dennie of Denham Springs, La., Catherine Holyoak of Kula, Hi., and Colleen Karner and her husband Dennis of Sanford, N.C. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Poppie, Cody, Ian, Chance, Tia, and Gina; two great-grandchildren, Kortnie and Jesse; her brother, Eugene Mongeau and his wife Elaine; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her godmother, Clarisse L’Heureux Peltier. She was the sister of the late Edward Mongeau.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 15 in the Immaculate Conception Church of Marlborough, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough.
