Westport – Paul J. Stockwell, 67, of Westport and formerly of Southborough, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at Charlton Hospital in Fall River after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kathleen (Puntonio) Stockwell.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Anita (McCormick) and Frank P. Stockwell.
Paul was a 1966 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough and was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. For many years, he worked for Charles River Center in Needham.
Paul was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather Stockwell of Westport; a sister, Diane Sickles and her husband Ron of Nashua, N.H.; Frank Stockwell of Clinton; an aunt, Pearl Stockwell of Southborough; and several nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held Tuesday, Sept 30, from 12-1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
