Westborough – Berkshire Bank officially became the newest financial institution to join Westborough’s business community Nov. 20. Local officials and business leaders attended the bank’s grand opening ceremony held at its new branch located at 303 Turnpike Road (Route 9).
The bank has already made its mark on the community by donating to four organizations. The Westborough Food Pantry, Westborough High School (WHS) Robotics Team, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass./Metrowest, Inc., and YMCA of Central Mass., Boroughs Family Branch, each received $2,500 from the bank’s foundation.
To show “its” appreciation, a robot built by the WHS team helped to cut the ribbon to celebrate the grand opening.
The public is invited to celebrate “Family Day” at the bank, Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature games, giveaways and free photos with Santa.
Also through Dec. 6, local residents can try their hand at “cracking the vault” to win a grand prize of $2,000, first prize of an iPhone 6, or second prize of an iPad mini 2. There will be 10 third prizes of $100 gas cards. For more information on this contest, visit https://www.berkshirebank.com/about-us/locations/crack-the-vault.
The new branch features Berkshire Bank’s state-of-the-art enhanced teller pod design that, according to bank representatives, provides more personalized service, faster transactions, improved accuracy and enhanced security. The bank offers personal and business banking, as well as mortgage, insurance, and wealth management services to the community.
