“We remove gunite pools, liner pools and above-ground pools. We also haul away spas and Jacuzzis,” said Herb Tebo, owner of Tebo & Sons, a pool removal company which works throughout the state. “When we haul away a pool, if there are other items that people no longer want, such as pool furniture, we take that as well. If the homeowner doesn’t want a fence any more, we will remove that.”

Marlborough moms create support group for opium addiction

Marlborough – In an effort to save lives through awareness and education, Marlborough moms Maureen Begg and Carol Pickford have begun an informal support group for those who are suffering from opiate addiction. The group, which is also for loved ones, first began meeting at Begg’s home in April. Recently is has relocated to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3565, 56 Florence St., Marlborough. Meetings take place the first Tuesday of the month from 7-9 p.m.

Breaking ground for Autism Institute in Southborough

Southborough – The New England Center for Children (NECC) on Route 9 in Southborough is expanding and renovating after raising $10.9 million with a capital campaign. A new three-story, 30,000-square-foot addition will be added to the existing building and named the Autism Institute. There, NECC will conduct training and research to further benefit autism educators and affected families internationally.
