Grafton rocks out on a summer night

Grafton – On the evening of July 22, Grafton’s Concerts on the Commons featured the band “Throw Back to the 60s,” an enthusiastic group of ‘60s-era musicians playing favorites from that time period. A typically large crowd gathered, covering the Commons with blankets, bridge chairs and tables, thermos jugs, sandwiches, candy, and other treats. Many stood and rocked along with the music, to the delight of adults and children alike. Kids ran to and fro, laughing and having a great time.

Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury High School (SHS) coaches Jim Smith and Kurt Gustafson each recently received a 2015 Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association (MSTCA) Coach of the Year award. Smith was named MSTCA Central Mass. Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year and Gustafson was named MSTCA Central Mass. Indoor Track Coach of the Year.

Avidia donates $1,000 to the Homeowner Options for Massachusetts Elders

Region – The Avidia Charitable Foundation recently donated $1,000 to the Homeowner Options for Massachusetts Elders (HOME). This donation will help support the general operating costs of HOME. Avidia Bank is a $1.2 billion mutual community bank, headquartered in Hudson, with branches in Hudson, Westborough, Clinton, Leominster, Marlborough, Northborough and Shrewsbury.
