Margaret W. Heywood, 94, formerly of Westborough

Yarmouthport/Fort Myers, Fla. – Margaret W. Heywood , 94, of Yarmouthport, and Fort Myers, Fla. and formerly of Westborough and Wolfeboro, N.H., passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late John A Heywood.

Mrs. Heywood was born in Natick, the daughter of the late Henry L. and Ann J. Wheeler. She attended New Rochelle, N.Y. public schools and was a graduate of Russell Sage College.

Her happiest times were spent with her family and friends.

Mrs. Heywood is survived by her children, Leslie Hackman and her husband Kevin of Warwick, R.I., Douglas Heywood and his partner Gregory Winston of Harwich Port, John Heywood of Nashua, N.H., and son-in-law John Safford of Rye, N.H. She also leaves her five grandchildren, Margaret Safford and her husband Manuel Liongson, Elizabeth Safford, Anne Rose and her husband Nick, Nason Heywood, and Molly Jones and her husband Earl, and a great-granddaughter Eva Lynn Liongson. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Virginia Wheeler and Persis Wattles, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn H. Safford.

A graveside memorial service for Mrs. Heywood, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., Pine Grove Cemetery, South Street, Westborough. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home.
