150731 rsSouthborough – Over the past few years, Southborough has taken a number of steps to help support and expand its business community. One key step was to establish an Economic Development Committee (EDC), to help the town compete with area communities as well as other regions throughout the country. Recently, the town hired its first economic development coordinator, Pam DiGiovanni, who will work closely with the EDC to help enhance the economic vitality of the town’s business community as well as build its collaboration with the town and community.

DiGiovanni brings to the position over 13 years of experience in economic and community development including a stint as the economic development program manager for the state’s Department of Transportation, as assistant director for the Federal Transit Administration’s National Rural Transit Assistance Program and as MassDOT’s government relations director and director of policy.
