Southborough – Donna Jean Piper, 62, of Southborough, died at Marlborough Hospital Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 after being stricken ill at home.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of A. Keith Piper of Southborough and the late Betty J. (Raven) Piper.

Donna was a 1971 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough and earned her bachelor’s and two master’s degrees in Counseling and Education from Framingham State University.

She was an instructional aide in the teaching of special education at the Luther Burbank Middle School, in Lancaster. She had just received her 20-year certificate from the Nashoba Regional School district.

She was a member of American Coaster Enthusiasts and has ridden over 1,000 different roller coasters in United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Scandinavia, Great Britain, and Ireland.

In addition to her father, she is survived by several aunts and uncles and many cousins, as well as her work colleagues, friend Janice Good, and other fellow members of ACE.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5-7 p.m., at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
