Region: Fall Film Series at UCMH

Hudson – All are welcome to join in watching a series of thought-provoking, inspiring, and sometimes heartwarming films at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson. After each movie during the Fall Film Series participants can join in a brief period of discussion to deepen the learning and understanding of the major themes presented. Movies will be shown on a (relatively) big screen in the church’s Sanctuary.

Monthly themes will be Building Beloved Community in September, Multiculturalism and Diversity in October, Freedom and Civil Rights in November, Holidays Around the World in December. The Third Friday Film and Discussion for Adults movie lineup is Friday, Sept. 18, 7 p.m., “Serving Life” (NR); Friday, Oct. 16, 7 p.m., “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” (PG 13); and Friday, Nov. 20, 7 p.m., “Freedom Writers” (PG 13). The Fourth Sunday Film, Pizza, and Discussion for Older Teens movie lineup is Sunday, Sept. 27, 6:30 p.m., “Breakfast Club” (R); Sunday, Oct. 25, 6:30 p.m., “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” (PG 13); and Sunday, Nov. 22, 6:30 p.m., “Freedom Writers” (PG 13). The Family Films (with brown bag dinner) lineup is Friday, Oct. 2, 6 p.m., “Home” (PG), and Friday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m., “Elf” (PG). The Films for Seniors are Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1 p.m., “Young at Heart” (PG), and Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1 p.m., “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” (PG 13).
