Westborough: Library to hold ‘Sundae Sunday’

Westborough – The Westborough Public Library, 55 W. Main St., resumes Sunday hours Oct. 18 with the second annual Sundae Sunday at 1 p.m. Stop by the library meeting room for a delicious make-your-own sundae bar, complete with jimmies, syrups, whipped cream and toppings galore donated by Cumberland Farms and the Friends of the Westborough Public Library.

New this year to celebrate Teen Read Week, Westborough teens will show off their knowledge of foods from the literary world by preparing recipes inspired by books in the Young Adult collection, in the library’s first-ever Literary World Food Showcase. Their food creations will be cut into sample sizes to be shared. Teens wanting to prepare a fictitious dish should sign up at http://goo.gl/forms/ZHfVHlPAqM.

The event is free and open to all. For more information, contact Maureen Ambrosino, library director, at 508-871-5280 or email westboro@cwmars.org.
