Region – The Bancroft Young Writers Conference for grades 8 – 12 will be held the weekend of Nov. 21-22 at the Bancroft School, 110 Shore Drive. The conference offers a valuable opportunity for teenage writers to develop their craft with mentors who are published authors and working writers. Supported and encouraged by these mentors, attendees have the opportunity to participate in workshops to gain exposure to a variety of writing techniques in various genres such as poetry, journalism, fiction, spoken word poetry, and creative non-fiction; garner feedback on their work; develop ideas for future writing projects; and meet like-minded peers.
The cost is $85 and includes a light breakfast and full lunch each day. To learn more about the conference and register, go to bancroftschool.org/writers.
