Hudson – Residents and visitors sported autumn layers on a brisk Oct. 17 when Hudson Recreation presented the 18th annual Pumpkin Fest at Morgan Bowl. Five hours of family fun featured lots of refreshments and activities offered by over 30 nonprofit organizations, live entertainment, sculpted balloons by clowns, pony rides, inflatable amusements, trackless train rides and fireworks.
Returning once again, “The Machine” Jesse Green carved a wood sculpture of a turtle. His sculptures from several previous years are displayed on the Assabet River Rail Trail.
Event sponsors were Avidia Bank, Hudson Appliance, Hudson Fire Local #1713, Hudson Police Association and Juniper Farms. A portion of the admission fee goes to the Hudson Community Food Pantry.
