Marlborough – Jason P. Avery, formerly of Marlborough, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at the age of 28.
Jason is survived by his mother, Lee (Edelman) Caissie, and step-father Dave Caissie of Marlborough; his brother, Chris Caissie, of Marlborough; his grandmothers, Ann Edelman of Marlborough and Eleanor Avery of Hudson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also the son of the late Russell Avery of Hudson and the grandson of the late Richard Edelman of Marlborough.
After completing his high school education, he attended the Assabet Valley Continuing Education program in HVAC. He had most recently been employed by Bay State Cruise Company, Boston.
Jason, an avid sports enthusiast, had been a member of both the Marlborough and Hudson Boys and Girls Clubs and played Varsity basketball for Hudson Catholic High School. He participated in Marlborough youth sports, including, baseball, soccer, and, his favorite, basketball. In the winter months, he also enjoyed snowboarding.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 52 Church St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Forest Vale Cemetery in Hudson. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
