Marlborough – John Denholm, of Marlborough, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at the age of 75. He was born July 7, 1940 in Potter’s Bar, England to John and Violet (Williams) Denholm. He was married for 53 years to Sylvia (Agar) Denholm of Barnet, England.

John and his wife moved to Waltham in 1968 from England to work for MacNeill Engineering as a tool and dye maker. He was the co-owner of J&H Precision, also a tool and dye company based in Clinton, before retiring in 2002.

Besides his wife, John is survived by two sisters, Margaret Reed and husband Gordon of Barton Seagrave, England and Jean Shearer and husband Ken of Malvern Hills, England. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date. An hour of visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
