Southborough – James Frederick Anketell, 82, of Southborough, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 at Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Ruth H. (McCann) Anketell, who passed away in 2009.

Mr. Anketell was an Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and worked for many years for Raytheon in Wayland as a logistical engineer. He was an active member of St. Anne Church of Southborough, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his nine children, James Anketell and his wife Barbara, Mary Anketell and her husband David Wilson, Susan Jablonski, David Anketell and his wife Maria, Mark Anketell and his wife Peggy, Carol Doucet and her husband Jim, Ruth Kuniholm and her husband Erik, Sarah Frederick and her husband Steven, and Beth Anketell and her husband Martin Kulldorff; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, John Anketell and his Jane; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Winifred Rock, and a son-in-law, Stephen Jablonski.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2-5 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
