Hudson – The Hudson Rotary Club is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win $1,000 in gas as well as helping the Be Like Brit Foundation.

There are only 500 tickets for the raffle, which are $5 each. All other proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Be Like Brit Foundation, a nonprofit organization that was created in memory of Britney Gengel, a 19-year-old Rutland woman who perished in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti while on a service trip with her college. The foundation now operates a 19,000-square-foot earthquake-proof orphanage in Haiti that houses 66 children.

To purchase raffle tickets, see a Hudson Rotarian or visit these local businesses: Avidia Bank, 42 Main St.; Fletcher-Tilton (Yates Law Office), 69-71 Main St.; Hudson Family Dental, 414 Main St.; Sullivan Optometry, 34 Pope St.; Wright Jewelry, 61 Main St.; Tucks Service Station, 242 Washington St.; and Knight Fuel, 159 Main St. For additional information visit www.hudsonrotary.com.
