To the Editor:

Recently, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of the Marlborough Historical Society a raffle was held. The raffle was for T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods gift cards, generously donated by TJX Companies. The drawing took place at the Heritage Fair Oct. 25. Mary Murphy, former principal of the Whitcomb School in Marlborough did the honors of picking the winners. Winner were: first prize of a $500 gift card, Joe Cappello; second prize of a $200 gift card, Joyce Morse; and third prize of a $100 Gift Card, Jill Strassel.

The Marlborough Historical Society receives no government funding and meets its expenses by fundraising, grants, membership fees and donations. Success of this raffle and other fundraisers is a major part of helping to preserve Marlborough history for future generations.

Thank you to all who participated in this fundraiser.
